Ingest IoT device data to Treasure Data via the MQTT lightweight connectivity protocol.
MQTT is a widely-used lightweight IoT network protocol that usually assumes constrained, unreliable TCP/IP connectivity of devices.
Treasure Data prepares a dedicated endpoint for efficiently and securely streaming large volume IoT device data by using MQTT over SSL. This Box demonstrates its basic usage in multiple programming languages.
Note that our MQTT endpoint is currently experimental. Contact your Treasure Data Customer Success representative for more information and enablement. You should eventually have credentials which allow you to execute this Box on your account.
Use-Cases
As long as your devices are capable to communicate with MQTT broker, you can build a number of IoT applications based on this Box as follows:
- Device data aggregation and analytics
- Time-series sensor data visualization
- Machine learning based forecasting
Furthermore, once device data is loaded to Treasure Data, you can integrate the Physical data with a wide variety of Digital data such as customer attributes and behaviors. Finally, possible advanced use cases include:
- Customer data enrichment
- Device usage monitoring and personalization
- Predictive maintenance
